Marketing

We have been learning quite a bit about marketing and PR here at Custom Upcycling. With a new small business we have found that it is imperative to find a way to get your voice out. Recently, I have been reading the book, "The Marketing Playbook" by John Zagula and Richard Tong. It outlines the 5 basic "plays" of marketing and how a company can choose one at it work successfully for their business or not. They have outlined basic marketing techniques into 5 easy to read strategies that actually make sense. Once you understand them, it is fun to watch large corporations and how they use their plays for marketing their company (for instance, Clorox is perpetually in a "drag race" with competition it seems). They even have some tips for small "startups" that we have been trying to incorporate into our marketing plans for Custom Upcycling.
